    Life Tips

My friend Selena (follow her Tumblr here) appreciates fine things, like this Anthropologie cardigan and Trader Joe’s steel-cut oats. We get along swimmingly. Recently, she did a PSA, and just like the PSA from that drug episode of Saved By The Bell, I listened:

    PSA: Saving Money at Starbucks
I would usually drop nearly $5 on my venti skinny vanilla lattes.  This morning I decided to get a little cute and order a venti non-fat misto (coffee with steamed milk) with sugar free vanilla syrup.  The outcome: It only cost $2.50 and is a fantastic alternative.  Winner!
    *Arm pump!*

I was intrigued for three reasons:

    1. Selena would never lead me down a bad path, homegirl knows her stuff.

    2. I drop nearly $4 per grande soy skinny vanilla lattes*, and

    3. I was a Starbucks barista in college… shouldn’t I know this?

Today, I decided to test out S’s trick. After ordering a Venti soy sugar-free vanilla latte, I handed over $2.50 and walked away with my official new Starbucks drink. It tastes great. Try it, you guys. Save some money, this trick works like a charm.

    * Starbucks comps the soy milk and syrup
